Holiday Pageant a Great Success

The South Woodstock Community Pageant held this past Sunday was a great success.  The Church was as full as it has been in recent years and all the participants did a great job.

Following the pageant, the Kedron Valley Inn hosted a buffet dinner that was excellent and donated all monies collected to the South Woodstock Fire Department.

We hope you enjoy the two short videos below:

Fairpoint Meeting 12/8

“As a result of concerns voiced by a number of Woodstock residents about the continued lack of high speed internet service in much of our area, FairPoint Communications will hold a public information meeting to share their plans for broadband expansion in Woodstock, Bridgewater, Pomfret and Reading – for the 457 exchange and neighboring communities. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 8th at Woodstock’s Town Hall in the second floor meeting room from 5 – 6:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. If you have questions on when and what service FairPoint will be making available, this is the time to ask. We look forward to seeing you on December 8th. Woodstock Country School Reunion

The Woodstock Country School may have closed in 1980 but the people who went there have gone out into the world and taken a little bit of South Woodstock with them where ever they have gone. This weekend they will be returning to the valley of the Kedron Brook to celebrate a time and a place they are truly grateful for. On Saturday evening, August 7th, there will be a dance jam featuring music from WCS alumni and staff starting around 8:30PM. The WCS Reunion would like to invite everyone in the South Woodstock community to come and join the party! This is a bring your own beverage and a chair kind of event.

Lots of music and fun and some performance surprises in the later evening. You can’t miss the location. There will be a big tent across the road from the firehouse. We do ask you to please be careful about where you park and remember… the youngest of us are now approaching 50! If you need more information please call the Vermont Horse Country Store at 802-457-4677 during the day.
